Scientific day - 26 juin

The unit offered its agents a scientific day outside the walls. In a bucolic setting, more than a hundred agents (all statuses combined) met at the Domaine de la Pradat Haute.

The opportunity to discover a place but also to exchange around research work, techniques, to meet colleagues from other structures based in the region.

During the morning, presentations of several platforms that can offer their services to the unit's scientists will take place :

  • High-throughput genotyping and sequencing service platform Gentyane (C. Poncet)  ;
  • Cellular Health Imaging Center CICS (C. Blavignac & C. Szczepaniak) ;
  • Clermont Confocal Imaging CLIC (C. Vachias) ;
  • In Vivo Imaging multimodal platform in Auvergne IVIA (L. Mazuel).

Mid-morning, other interventions by scientists from the unit :

  • Adèle Lamauve (NUTRIVASC) : A look back at the “Healthy Eating for Tomorrow: Science in Inter-Action” exhibition, which took place on May 16 as part of the RéseautAGE project;
  • Daniel  Taillandier (PROTEOSTASIS) : MuRF1 invalidation protects skeletal muscle from atrophy but alters liver metabolism ;
  • Claudine Manach (NUTRIVASC) : Development of PhenolQuest, a new tool for assessing polyphenol consumption ;
  • Claire Héry-Planchat : Plan'eat - supporting stakeholders in children's food environment... Example of shared vegetarian menus
  • Lech Dobija (ASMS) : Clinical research in physical medicine and rehabilitation

In the afternoon, our young doctoral students were given the opportunity to present their thesis results:

  • Benjamin Hay (ASMS) : Adjuvant strategies to immunotherapy in lung cancer: ketone bodies, fatty acids and physical activity against muscle wasting ;
  • Coralie Delabrise (PROTEOSTASIS) : Blood biomarkers of skeletal muscle atrophy ;
  • Chloé Richard (PROTEOSTASIS) : Hibernating brown bear serum modulates the balance of TGF-B and BMP pathways in human muscle cell ; 
  • Aurélien Brun (ASMS) : Prevention of muscle atrophy and myosteatosis by polyunsaturated fatty acids 

Game workshops were offered in connection with the themes at the end of the afternoon.
