Research activity

Our research theme aims to understand the impact of nutrition on the functions of immunocompetent cells (ICCs) and their adaptive capacities during aging and chronic diseases. Currently, we have focused on different aspects during breast carcinogenesis in obesity :

  • Study of the modulation of cellular oxidative status in vitro and in vivo in the context of aging and pathology,
  • Exploration of cellular metabolism in oxidative stress and inflammation phenomena,
  • Metabolic characterization of CICs, particularly in terms of oxidative stress,
  • Characterization of the dialogue between CICs and their microenvironment,
  • Study of redox-sensitive cellular signaling pathways,
  • Characterization of inflammation, cytokines, and tissue metabolites,
  • Understanding the mechanisms by which physical activity modulates the anti-tumor response of CICs,
  • Search for nutritional bioactives of interest for the modulation of redox-sensitive pathways.
