PFEM
Assistant engineer in chemical analysis of biomolecules by mass spectrometry

Research activity

I work on the Metabolism Exploration Platform, where I conduct chemical analyses using mass spectrometry as part of human nutrition research projects.

My role includes working with researchers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate analytical methods. I oversee sample preparation, perform analyses, process data, and present results to project leaders. To ensure the reliability of results, I regularly monitor the analytical equipment to intervene in the event of deviations or malfunctions. I also supervise and train professional undergraduate students as part of their final-year internships or apprenticeships.

I am also a member of the international Workflow4Metabolomics (W4M) collective and, in particular, a trainer in metabolomics data processing using the W4M tool available on the Galaxy platform.
