Research Activities

My research focuses on two main themes: the study of interactions between immunocompetent cells and their microenvironment in the context of obesity, and the discovery of natural bioactives. I focus on immunomodulatory bioactives and their biological effects. This field is supported by numerous international collaborations, allowing for the supervision of foreign doctoral and postdoctoral students, as well as partnerships with local manufacturers.

As part of the Plantinauv project, we have promoted local botanical heritage by studying Auvergne plant extracts with anti-inflammatory activity.

Since May 2020, I have been participating in the Labcom Phytoprob'Inov project (AO ANR 2019) for five years, aiming to develop a new generation of "phyto-probiotics" with beneficial health and/or weight-loss effects.

I am also involved in the Pack Ambition Recherche 2020 Région FRIMOB project, where we are exploring cheese matrices as a source of bioactive metabolites for applications in human and animal health.
