Researcher

I lead the MAPPING research group for MetAbolic PhenotyPe, nutrition and modeling, within the Metabolism Exploration Platform, focusing on the study of the characteristics of the first metabolic deviations associated with the development of non-communicable diseases (metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, pre-frailty/frailty), using integrative systems biology approaches: modeling, simulation, in combination with multi-scale experimental data (omics and others).

Research activities

Researching the mechanisms by which nutrition, macronutrients, and micronutrients contribute to the development or prevention of chronic metabolic diseases using metabolomics, using multidimensional approaches to build models and reveal the determinants and modulators of these changes: identifying early metabolic deviations, and identifying status and/or predictive biomarkers for better metabolic phenotyping.
Developing new tools and high-throughput approaches for metabolism and nutrition research to identify biomarkers of effects and status for better stratification of at-risk populations.
